Citroen´s C-Metisse.
Another Motor Show - another futuristic concept car - this time it´s the turn of the C-Métisse, the latest out-of-this-world offering to come from Citroën to be unveiled in the French capital at the Paris Motor Show later this month.
The C-Métisse proves that you can have an environmentally friendly car, without compromising on performance - combining a top speed of 155mph with the ability to cover around 45 miles per gallon on the combined cycle.
Crammed with hi-tech innovations and neat touches, the C-Métisse explores new avenues in car design and driving pleasure. With stunning curvy looks, this model combines the style of a coupé with 4 door practicality, thanks to its gull-wing front and rear doors.
The C-Métisse boasts an economical HDi V6 diesel engine, with an acclaimed Diesel Particulate Filter System, and two seperate electric motors on the rear wheels, capable of developing a massive 400Nm of additional torque. The new concept can also travel in urban areas in Zero Emission (ZEV) Mode, a completely silent all-electric mode that helps limit fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.
There´s no denying that this 4 door coupe is breathtaking to look at - the futuristic interior looks like it´s been made from melted down stormtroopers - and it´s also quite low for a grand-tourer at just 1.24 metres high having been designed with the focus on real driving pleasure, as well as head-turning styling.
